Complete SOGI room planner

The challenge
The system needed to support different UX flows: central flooring islands, standard rooms, custom floor plans, lighting purchases and furniture purchases. It also needed to handle physical constraints such as tile direction, collisions between elements and the trade-off between configuration completeness and user simplicity.
The solution
Inside the web 3D configurator hosted on a dedicated subdomain, we created separate routes for flooring islands with perimeter ramps and for the complete room planner.
Progressive flow
- Rectangular, L-shaped or freehand room drawing with automatic suggestions
- Openings such as doors and shutters
- Tile category and installation direction
- Flooring configuration
- Furniture insertion with round-trip redirect to the dedicated configurator
- LED lighting configuration
Interaction and rendering
- 2D floor plan drawer with multiple modes
- Paint mode and single tile selection
- 3D room rendering with automatic see-through wall handling
- Real-time drag for furniture and lights
- Anti-collision system for furniture and lighting
CPQ and integrations
